Examples of Our Work
At Bucks County Tech we have spent many hours helping small business, non-profit and academic institutions of all sizes improve their technology footprint.  For examples of our web work, see the home page.  Below are some examples of the work we have done:

BCT helped a small private school manage their IT budget and still deliver computers into the hands of every student.  We leveraged the low cost/high output combination offered by ASUS NetBooks coupled with a fantastic wireless solution from Aruba with centralize management so the computer teacher could manage the entire network from one place without having to become an expert in networking or wireless!

Additionally, we helped them manage their licensing costs by helping them install OpenOffice, a fully Microsoft compatible system,  in-lieu of Microsoft Office.

Total cost for 35 computers and full wireless installatino: less than $2,500!
This was a complete renovation of an existing waiting room in a car dealership.  We installed a new flat panel display with stereo speakers mounted in the ceiling with a small PC mounted in a hidden location for control of the kiosk-style presentation which mixes Internet news and weather with advertising and information from the dealership.

We were able to repurpose an old PC and existing PowerPoint license so the total cost ofr this implementation, including a new TV, was less than $2,000!
This company has four locations, wireless, a highly mobile work force and over 200 seats.  This virtual server implementation along with several physical servers had to fit into a re-purposed closet.  Two fail-over optimized physical servers with eight virtual servers optimized their IT budget and still serves all their technology needs including an iSCSI SAN,  Exchange, BlackBerry and web site services!

Additionally, we created an always-on IPSEC VPN utilizing their existing Cisco equipment between all their locations to enable their branch offices to all act as one, big virtual network.
This school wanted to be able to do video recordings of their school board and administrative meetings, web-cast them live and also archive them to allow for them to be streamed on-demand to parents.

They also wanted to be able to hold live web conferences and remote classes, be able to record those and offer the lectures on-demand via their website.

We utilized their existing Polycom equipment and tied it all together with this new Polycom RSS streaming web video and audio server.  It integrated directly with their secure website and optimized bandwidth out-of-the-box.
