03/30/2009 11:29 AM Alert

-- for calendar events entered on Blackberry handhelds, the events show as an hour later in Outlook (i.e. 2pm in HH, 3pm in Outlook)

Since the government has decided to change DST recently, MANY people are experiencing issues with Blackberry Enterprise Server and Exchange 2000/2003 calendars being an hour off from one another.

-- for calendar events entered in Outlook, the times are correct for those events on the Blackberry handhelds

-- this issue did not occur in the Fall of 2008

-- Blackberry handhelds already had the 2007 DST patch (if not, patch it first!)

The fix is simple, make sure everything is fully patched.  Ensuring that we had the latest service pack for Exchange 2003 and then ran the hotfix for DST changes will alleviate the issue.  Make sure the CDO.DLL is the same versino on your BES and Exchange servers.
